Enrique Hernandez parents, Enrique Hernandez Sr and Monica Gonzalez raised three kids in Puerto Rico. Hernandez Sr previously worked for Pittsburgh Pirates.
Boston Red Sox’s utility player Enrique Hernandez made his MLB debut in 2014 for Houston Astros. Since then, he has played for three franchises winning one championship ring on the way.
With former teammates Mookie Betts and Cody Bellinger, Hernandez lifted the World Championship Title in 2020. That same year, the Puerto Rican also won Fielding Bible Award.
In September 2022, Enrique extended his stay at Red Sox, penning a $10 million contract. With the 2022 season ravaged by injuries for the veteran, Enrique will have to pay back the faith shown in him by the team.

On the one hand, Enrique Hernandez Sr wanted to see his son make his MLB debut, and on the contrary, Monica Gonzalez wasn’t certain about making baseball a career.
Enrique Hernandez Sr. worked dual jobs. A former baseball player, Hernandez Sr worked as a part-time scout for Pittsburgh Pirates.
His full-time job was that of a sales manager for a garden supply company. There was a time when Hernandez Sr was on track to become a professional baseball playern but that didn’t quite happen.
After a full stop in his athletic career, Hernandez Sr decided to live his dream through his son. Till his son was 18, Hernandez Sr coached him and taught him everything there is to know.
Monica wanted her son to complete college before he decided to move to the States. But as the years passed, Monica understood her boy’s love and passion for the game.
In 2016, the entire Hernandez family went through a tough time as Hernandez Sr was diagnosed with cancer.
It was a tough time for the former Dodgers star, who saw his form dip heavily during that period. But fortunately, Hernandez Sr came out on top against cancer.

Other than his parents, Enrique has two younger sisters, who, like their parents, are extremely supportive of their big brother.
Momo Hernandez, the family’s middle child, used to be seen time and against at the Dodgers Stadium and was present on the day her brother’s bobblehead was launched.
The youngest of the family, Loren Hernandez, has walked in her brother’s footsteps and is an athlete. Currently studying at Manhattanville College, Loren is a volleyball player and that too a shining star.

Mariana Vicente, the wife of Enrique Hernandez, is a model, actress hailing from Puerto Rico.
The couple met for the first time in 2015 after Enrique was left impressed by her acting performance in a movie. The baseballer reached out to her and later set a date for them.
After a couple of years of dating, Enrique was certain he had met his right match, so he decided to put a ring on it.
In 2017, during the baseball break, Enrique flew his future wife to Big Sur, where he went down on one knee.
A year and six months later, on December 2019, the couple tied the knot in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The couple shared several pictures of their beautiful wedding ceremony on their Instagram handle, with Mariana looking classier than ever.
They are now parents to a beautiful baby girl named Penelope Hernandez, born on January 15, 2021. Whenever she gets time, Mariana and her daughter make sure to attend Hernandez’s games.
