Erik Ten Hag Comments As Man United Sweat On Marcus Rashford Fitness For EFL Cup Final
Marcus Rashford is an injury doubt for Manchester United this weekend as they face Newcastle United in the EFL Cup final.
The striker picked up an injury during the second leg of their latest Europa League clash with Barcelona, and the Red Devils now face a waiting game to see if the attacker is going to be fit in time for the showpiece at Wembley.
Rashford has been in brilliant form this season, with manager Erik Ten Hag really getting the best out of him and, clearly, losing him for tomorrow’s game would be a real blow.
United are sweating on results of a medical diagnosis, then, with Ten Hag telling the media yesterday that he does not know just yet whether Rashford will be able to feature in the squad.
“I don’t know. We have to wait for a 100% diagnosis.”
Manchester United obviously have a squad more than capable of producing the goods without Rashford but, given the form he has been in this season, they surely want to have him involved in some capacity on the pitch at Wembley tomorrow.
