FIFA SET TO KICK OUT ECUADOR FROM WORLD CUP AFTER PLAYER IS ACCUSED OF USING FAKE BIRTH CERTIFICATE

Ecuador are set to be thrown out of the Qatar 2022 World Cup by FIFA and replaced by fellow South American nation, Chile.

Ecuador could miss out on a 4th World Cup appearance when the 2022 edition in Qatar kicks off this November as FIFA may remove the South American nation over allegations of cheating.

Chile had filed a complaint to the World football governing body that Ecuador defender, Byron Castillo is originally a Colombian and therefore is ineligible to represent Ecuador.

According to a report via the Daily Mail, Chile claims Ecuador defender Byron Castillo falsified his birth documents to be able to represent La Tri in the World Cup qualifiers.

Chile also claims to have proof that Castillo was born in Tumaco, Colombia, in 1995, rather than General Villamil Playas, Ecuador, as stated on his official paperwork.
