FORMER PREMIER LEAGUE PLAYER GABBY AGBONLAHOR CLAIMS HEUNG MIN SON IS GOOD THAN MANE AND SALAH

Former footballer turned pundit Gabby Agbonlahor contends Heung-min Son is a better player as compared to Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Aston Villa forward Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Tottenham Hotspurs’ Heung-min Son is better than Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Agbonlahor, who works as a pundit after hanging his boots, is dumbfounded why no top club is chasing after Son, following his stellar campaign which was crowned with the Golden Boot award.

Son scored 23 goals in the just-concluded season and Agbonlahor reckons Son should have been considered for the Premier League best player award ahead of Kevin De Bruyne.

“I can’t get my head around how Son (not winning the Premier League player of the season award), I don’t know if because he is at Spurs and has not won anything. He is just forgotten about.” He told talkSPORT.

“But to get the same amount of goals as Salah in a team that has fewer chances.” “He deserves to be up there, with no penalties as well. Yes, Salah has got more assists but what Son has done this season.”

“Son’s goals have been outrageous! Goals that all the strikers in the Premier League can’t score”.

I can’t believe no one big club has come in for Son.” He argued that the South Korean is better than Mo Salah and Sadio Mane before recommending him to the ‘big clubs’ to secure his services.

“But for me, Son is better than both of them (Salah and Mane). If I were a big club I will be looking forward to signing Son. He is unbelievable and underrated.”

Son reacts after winning maiden Premier League Golden Boot award Earlier, Sports Brief reported that an emotional Son Heung Min admitted he was still coming to terms with the fact that he is the Premier League top scorer this season, alongside Liverpool ace Mohammed Salah.

The South Korean scored twice as Tottenham thrashed relegated Norwich City 5-0 in the penultimate game of the season in a win that ensured Antonio Conte’s men secured Champions League football next season.

His exploits in front of goal means he tied with Salah on 23 goals after the Egyptian also found the back of the net against Wolves on Sunday.
