Ghanaian Defender Tariq Lamptey Reacts After Brighton Beat Stoke City In FA Cup
Tariq Lamptey has shared his excitement after Brighton & Hove Albion beat Stoke City to progress in the English FA Cup.
Evan Ferguson’s first half strike ensured the Seagulls defeated Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium to advance to the next stage.
“Job done, into the next round ! Thank you for the support as always!,” Lamptey wrote on Twitter.
The 22-year-old lasted the entire duration, playing on the left side of defence for the English Premier League side.
Lamptey’s consistent game time under manager Roberto de Zerbi is huge boost for the Black Stars ahead of the AFCON qualifiers against Angola.
The former Chelsea defender is expected to feature in the double-header following injury to Alidu Seidu.
Lamptey switched nationality to play for Ghana in June last year and was part of the Black Stars at the World Cup in Qatar.
