Liverpool Wants Dominik Szoboszlai Move From Leipzig
- Liverpool Exploring Move For Leipzig Play-maker.
RB Leipzig playmaker Dominik Szoboszlai has emerged as a summer transfer target for Liverpool.
That is according to a report from the Athletic’s David Ornstein, who claims that club officials met with the Hungarian’s representatives this week to discuss a potential move.
However, the story is caveated by the fact that Liverpool acknowledge that such a transfer would be ‘very difficult’ to pull off.
Szoboszlai’s contract contains a €70m release clause and there are conflicting reports over its expiry – with some suggesting it is at the end of June and others insisting it is no longer valid from the middle of July.
Any move for the 22-year-old would run separately to the talks currently taking place between the Reds and Leipzig over Fabio Carvalho, who has been granted permission to travel to Germany on Thursday to undergo a medical ahead of a loan move which will not include a purchase option.
Szoboszlai is one of several names under consideration for Liverpool in their attempts to strengthen in midfield.
Alexis Mac Allister has already arrived and although they are resigned to missing out on Mason Mount, Khéphren Thuram and Roméo Lavia remain under consideration.
