Match Officials Confirmed For Man United’s Away Clash With Brighton
The match officials have been confirmed for Manchester United’s away trip to face Brighton and Hove Albion this Thursday, May 4.
Andre Marriner will take to the pitch to referee United against Brighton yet again after overseeing the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday, April 23.
Now, the Red Devils must overturn the Seagulls in a Premier League outing, as they aim to cement their place in the top four.
The reverse fixture came on the opening day of the 2022/2023 league campaign, with Brighton picking up a shock 2-1 win at Old Trafford, the first game of Erik ten Hag’s tenure, so redemption will be on the Reds’ minds this week.

In the league, Marriner has met United just once previously this season and it wasn’t an overly positive encounter on matchday 22; despite the 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace, midfield maestro Casemiro was brandished a red card by the referee for placing his hands around Will Hughes’ throat. It took a lengthy VAR check before the Brazilian left the pitch and was forced to serve a three-game ban.
Dan Robathan and Natalie Aspinall will assist Marriner, whilst Chris Kavanagh will take the fourth official’s role on the South Coast. VAR will be controlled by Andy Madley and Adam Nunn.
