Ghana international and Arsenal midfielder Thomas Teye Partey has disclosed that he is now a devoted Muslim
Arsenal and Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has revealed the reasons why he converted from Christianity to Islam.
The 28-year-old reportedly converted to Islam after months of studying the religion at his base in England.
Earlier this year, the Black Stars’ deputy captain was sighted, in photos posted on Twitter, with an Imam that suggested he had gladly accepted the religion.
And Partey has now confirmed that he has converted to the Islamic religion, disclosing that his Moroccan girlfriend is behind his decision to convert.
In a chit-chat with Ghanaian media personality Nana Aba Anamoah, the former Atletico Madrid midfielder revealed that he switched from Christianity because of his girlfriend whom he loves dearly and would do anything to make her happy.
