Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are competing with Everton and West Ham United for Bologna midfielder Mattias Svanberg, according to 1000 Cuori Rossoblu.
The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Tottenham, Everton and West Ham are the Premier League clubs who are interested in signing Svanberg from Bologna in the summer transfer window.
Serie A sides Napoli and Fiorentina want the 23-year-old Sweden international midfielder as well, according to the report, which has added that Bologna are looking for €20 million (£17.08 million) as transfer fees.
This is not the first time that Tottenham have been linked with Svanberg.
CalcioMercato claimed in January 2022 that Spurs were planning to make a move for the youngster at the time.
So it seems that Tottenham are still interested in Svanberg.
In our opinion, Tottenham have a very good chance of signing Svanberg if Bologna are willing to sell him for £17 million.
It is not a massive transfer fee, and if Spurs are able to finish in the Premier League top four this season, then they should be able to afford it with ease.
Svanberg is a very good midfielder who has done well for Bologna over the years.
The midfielder is at the right age to take the next step in his career and move to a massive club such as Tottenham.
The 23-year-old has made 31 starts and four substitute appearances in Serie A for Bologna this season.
The midfielder has scored three goals and given three assists in those games.
