Heung-Min Son Has No Plan Leave Tottenham For Saudi Move In Exciting Tottenham Vow

  • Heung-Min Son Rules Out Saudi Arabia Transfer In Exciting Spurs Vow.

Heung-min Son has no plans to leave Tottenham for a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia, as he wants to show ‘the Sonny that we all know’ this season.

The forward has just finished a difficult campaign and he scored 14 goals, his worst tally since his debut campaign in 2015-16.

Son has since revealed he was playing through the pain of a hernia injury all season, while he also fractured his eye socket in November.

Despite his difficult season, the 31-year-old has attracted interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia this summer – but he has no plans to leave Spurs.

“Probably if I wanted to go there I would be out there, not here,” said Son.

“I love playing football, obviously money is also important. I dream of playing in the Premier League and still a lot of things behind [to do].

“I’m looking forward to it this season and obviously especially last season when I suffered physically.

“So this is not Sonny that I know. I want to prove this season that I’m the Sonny that we all know.

“I want to prove that to myself and I want to give back to the club where I belong.

“Saudi obviously most people are going at the moment which is really, really interesting but it’s a dream for me to play in the Premier League and I’m looking forward to this season.”

Son is excited to work under new Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou, who has promised to bring attacking football to Spurs.

The South Korean knows Postecoglou as he faced his Australia side in the Asia Cup and he is eager to see what he can bring to Tottenham.

“He’s been fantastic. We met first time in 2015,” said Son.

“Obviously, we lost against Australia [in the Asia Cup final], so that wasn’t the best but I could see in that time they were playing fantastic.

“I’m really looking forward to playing under the gaffer. The training has been fantastic, really sharp, everyone looks really happy with what the gaffer has said. Everyone is working really hard so I’m looking forward to it.

“As soon as he was announced as manager I was really happy. We follow the Scottish League and Celtic was dominating.

“I’m really looking forward to it. It brings back 2015… but I’m just looking forward to helping the team, getting the club where it belongs.

“I’m looking forward to playing amazing attacking football. I hope we can make special things all together.”
