PREMIER LEAGUE OF THE SEASON: KEVIN De BRUYNE HAS BEEN AWARDED SECOND HIGHEST COACHING BADGE
Kevin De Bruyne has joined a bandwagon of Belgian players to acquire his UEFA Coaching License A certificate.
Mercurial midfielder Kevin De Bruyne scooped his UEFA Coaching License A certificate, days after winning the Premier League title with Manchester City.
The Belgium midfielder enjoyed a stellar campaign, notching a career-high 15 goals and eight assists during the 2021/22 campaign, helping Manchester City clinch their fourth league title in the past five seasons.
De Bruyne, who was adjudged the Premier League Player of the Season, received his UEFA A coaching license after two years of training with the Belgian Football Association.
De Bruyne is not the only Belgium international to have passed his UEFA A badge, in total, nine players recently qualified – Youri Tielemans, Jan Vertonghen, Axel Witsel, Leandro Trossard, Dedryck Boyata, Dennis Praet, Dries Mertens, Simon Mignolet and Matz Sels.
De Bruyne chose to represent Belgium despite being eligible to play for Burundi
Kevin de Bruyne has had a brilliant season for Manchester City and continues to be a star for the Belgian national team.
The Man City maestro has played 45 games in all competitions this season and scored 19 while providing 14 assists.

De Bruyne wins 2021-22 Premier League Player of the Season
Manchester City playmaker Kevin de Bruyne has won the Premier League player of the season, beating the likes of golden boot-chasing duo Mohammed Salah and Son Heung Min.
This is the second time in less than three years that the Belgian wins the award, having previously won it in 2020.
De Bruyne’s win also means that for the third season in a row, a Manchester City player has been declared the Player of the season after defender Ruben Dias was feted last year.
