PSG And Liverpool Interested In Sporting CP Defender Gonçalo Inácio
With Paris Saint-Germain’s sporting advisor Luís Campos already working on what is shaping up to be a busy summer transfer window, one of the Portuguese director’s primary targets looks to be one of his compatriots in Sporting CP defender Gonçalo Inácio, according to Le Parisien this afternoon.
The 21-year-old, who has been a regular starter for the Lisbon outfit for the past three seasons, has also attracted interest from Liverpool.
According to Le Parisien, the Reds are better positioned than PSG for the time being, having already launched talks for the Portuguese international.
As indicated in Portugal, Sporting have set their asking at €45m, and have also offered the central defender a new contract with a wage rise.
With PSG looking to bring in a left-sided centre-back this summer, Inácio – who Campos has been keeping an eye on for a while – has emerged as a potential candidate, with Manchester City’s Aymeric Laporte and Bayern Munich’s Lucas Hernandez having been linked too.
