PSG And Munich Nearing Agreement Over Lucas Hernandez
- Paris Saint-Germain And Bayern Munich Nearing Agreement Over Lucas Hernandez Transfer.
Bayern Munich defender Lucas Hernandez (27) is edging closer to a move to Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report from L’Équipe.
The 2018 World Cup winner with France is expected to strengthen the Ligue 1 champions from next season onwards. According to the outlet, a round of talks is currently taking place between PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and his Bayern Munich counterpart Jan-Christian Dreesen over the future of Hernandez. Those talks are said to be advancing at a swift pace with PSG feeling very confident they can land the 27-year-old defender.
Bayern Munich have decided to cash in on their record signing. Hernandez joined Bayern from Atlético de Madrid in 2019 for a club record €80m fee. The Bundesliga champions wanted to renew the France international, but the latter had set his sights on a move to PSG. Les Parisiens and the Bavarians are expected to agree on a transfer fee between €35m and €40m for Hernandez, whose Bayern contract was set to expire next summer.
Hernandez would be the fourth signing of the transfer window for PSG, after the arrivals of Marco Asensio (27), Milan Škriniar (28) and Manuel Ugarte (22). None of these transfers are yet to be formally confirmed.
