Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise (21), Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby (23), Olympique Lyonnais’ Rayan Cherki (19) and Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva (28) all feature on Paris Saint-Germain’s shortlist for an attacking midfielder, according to L’Équipe.
Attacking midfield is one of the areas where PSG want to strengthen this summer, especially given the impending departure of Lionel Messi (35), who whilst giving Les Parisiens the means to spend big this summer, will also leave a gaping hole in the side’s attack.
To fill it, PSG have drawn up a shortlist. The club’s interest in Bayer Leverkusen’s Diaby is nothing new. As reported by Foot Mercato, Les Parisiens have already opened talks to bring the French international back to the Île-de-France region.
L’Équipe have also previously revealed PSG’s interest in Silva, and the club even tried to sign the former AS Monaco player last summer, to no avail.
Les Parisiens also made a move to sign Lyon’s Cherki in the January window, in order to compensate for the departure of Pablo Sarabia to Wolverhampton Wanderers. The reigning Ligue 1 champions retain their interest in the France youth international.
Olise is the latest player to catch the eye of PSG’s recruitment department. The France U21 international has been linked with a move to Premier League rivals Arsenal, but PSG now look set to join the race.
