Real Sociedad Starlet Has No Intention To Leave This Summer Amid Interest From Italy
Given their excellent performance in the 2022-23 season, which saw them secure Champions League qualification for the first time in over a decade, it is no surprise that Real Sociedad’s star players are attracting interest.
The latest to have done so is Takefusa Kubo, who got nine goals and four assists in his first season for the San Sebastian-based side as they finished in fourth place in LaLiga.
Earlier this week, it was reported that new Napoli head coach Rudi Garcia had identified Kubo as a possible new signing, although the 22-year-old has no intention whatsoever of leaving La Real this summer, according to MD.
Kubo only joined Real Sociedad from Real Madrid last summer, and on the back of the best individual season of his career, he is keen to stay at the club, with the added bonus of playing in the Champions League in 2023-24.
It speaks volumes to Real Sociedad that several of their players are prepared to turn down big-money moves to larger reputation clubs. La Real will hope to use this to their advantage over the next few years, as they look to grow even further in Spanish football.
