REPORTED- LIVERPOOL-BOUND TEENAGER PRODUCES SUPERB ASSIST, DEFENDERS CAN’T CATCH HIM.

Liverpool are nearing the signing of Celtic talent Ben Doak – and his latest assist has shown exactly why the Reds are so desperate to sign him.

Doak, 16, has already emerged into the Celtic first-team setup this season, coming off the bench for Ange Postecoglou’s side on a couple of occasions.

Unfortunately for Celtic, 16-year-old’s playing in the first team tend to pick up major interest and that’s been the case with Doak.

The Athletic now claim that Doak is heading to Liverpool this summer with the Reds winning the race for his signature.

Liverpool seemingly see huge potential in Doak and have moved quickly to bring him to Anfield.

A number 10 or winger, Doak has great pace and dribbling, showing a direct style that was on full show yesterday.

On Wednesday, Doak featured for the Scotland Under-17’s as they took on the Czech Republic.

Scotland found themselves 2-0 down in the first half but Doak took over in the second half to snatch a 2-2 draw.

Picking the ball up with his back to goal inside his own half, Doak quickly turned away from his marker and drove towards goal at pace.

Doak then picked out Rory Wilson with a superb outside-of-the-foot pass, and the Rangers striker made no mistake.

That first assist showed what Doak is all about as Czech defenders just couldn’t catch him, and he had the end product to match the approach play.

Doak was at it again for the second goal, turning away from a defender before finding Dylan Reid, who picked out Wilson to make it 2-2.

We can hardly blame Liverpool fans for being excited by this, with Doak potentially bringing his direct style to Merseyside in the very near future.
