REPORTER SILENCED BY DAVID MOYES AFTER RIDICULOUS ANTONIO RUDIGER AND DECLAN RICE QUESTION.

David Moyes has responded to a ridiculous question about West Ham and Chelsea stars Antonio Rudiger and Declan Rice.

The Germany centre-half is out of contract with Chelsea and will be leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Questions have been asked about Chelsea’s inability to keep hold of Rudiger.

Meanwhile, the future of Declan Rice at West Ham remains uncertain.

The 23-year-old is a transfer target for some of the biggest clubs in the country (The Telegraph) including Chelsea.

The huge difference between the West Ham and Chelsea stars is the time remaining in their current deals with their respective clubs, however. And Moyes has made that abundantly clear…

David Moyes gives short shrift to Rice and Rudiger question
The Hammers manager has consistently insisted that West Ham ace Declan Rice will remain at the London Stadium beyond the end of the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, Chelsea star Rudiger will be leaving Stamford Bridge.

And Moyes responded when asked by a reporter how the Hammers can hope to keep Dec considering the fact that a club the size of Chelsea can’t keep Rudiger, as quoted by the Evening Standard:

“The difference is that he [Rudiger] is out of contract. We’ve got three-and-a-half years to go. That is the difference.”

Spot on Moysie.

Some reporters really are clueless aren’t they.

West Ham are totally in control with the Rice situation, unlike Chelsea were with Rudiger.

Moyes using the contract length of Rice in response to the reporter’s dig about Rudiger and Chelsea was perfect. The Hammers hold all the cards. What matters now is matching Dec’s ambition. The onus is on the West Ham owners, that’s for sure.

Whether they are prepared to spend big in the summer remains to be seen though.
