REPORTS- ARSENAL EXHIBIT INTEREST IN LEEDS UNITED’S STAR PLAYER.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are among the clubs who have registered interest in Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to 90min.

Aston Villa, Manchester United and Newcastle United have also reportedly registered interest in the 26-year-old England international midfielder.

Back in February, 90min reported interest from Arsenal among other clubs in Phillips.

And now the Gunners have ‘registered interest’, according to the same news outlet.

It seems that Arsenal are stepping up their efforts to sign Phillips, who played a big role in England reach the final of Euro 2020.

However, according to 90min, Phillips is open to staying at Leeds beyond the end of the season, and the West Yorkshire club themselves are confident of keeping him, if they survive the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of the season.

Leeds are reportedly ready to hand Phillips a huge salary increase if they retain their Premier League status for next season.

The midfielder earns £50,000 per week at Leeds at the moment (The Mirror).
