THOMAS PARTEY SUFFERS INJURY SETBACK DURING ARSENAL DEFEAT TO CRYSTAL PALACE
Thomas Partey was sent off on Monday night after picking an injury during Arsenal’s clash against Crystal Palace.
The decisive midfielder started for Arsenals today when the team played away against thier rivals at Selhurst Park.
From 75 minutes into the contest, Mikel Arteta decided to withdraw Thomas Partey after it became clear that he was in pain and will not be able to continue the game.
His place was taken by youngster Albert Sambi Lokonga as Arsenal suffered a huge away defeat at the end of the 90 minutes.
On the matchday, Jean-Philippe Mateta scored in the 16th minute to shoot Crystal Palace into the lead.
Later in the 24th minute, Ghana striker Jordan Ayew doubled the lead for the hosts with a fantastic strike.
After recess, Crystal Palace displayed great resilience as the team sealed a resounding 3:0 win at full-time thanks to a third goal scored by talisman Wilfried Zaha from the sport.
