Tottenham Manager Revealed Harry Kane New Update After Holding Talks

• Spurs Boss Offers Fresh Harry Kane Update After Pre-Season Talks.

Tottenham coach Ange Postecoglou has refused to give too much away on Harry Kane’s future after the pair held discussions during pre-season.

The England captain is currently part of the Spurs squad who are in Australia but continues to be closely linked with a departure, specifically to Bayern Munich who have not been shy about their interest.

But in terms of what was discussed, Postecoglou insisted that the talks didn’t centre much on Kane’s immediate future.

“A question about [Kane] for question one eh? I had a good chat with him. It was nothing earth-shattering or defining from what people are maybe seeking,” he told reporters in Australia.

“It was just a good chat. I introduced myself and we spoke mainly about the club and where he thinks it’s at and where he thinks we can improve things. Me and Harry were perfectly aligned in what we want to be a successful team this year.

“But it is really about focusing on everybody and making sure we have the environment set up the right way but the discussions wasn’t really about whether or not I’ll have Harry this season, it was more about the collective and what we’re doing.

“He’s the same as the other players you know. It’s not something I ask when they walk in the door: ‘have you got a ticket or not?’. It’s just about us as we go along. Some will be on the whole journey and some won’t but a lot of that gets decided along the way.

“It’s not something I’m sitting down and demanding from people at the outset. There’s a month before the season starts and the transfer window is still open so we’ll see how it all transpires.”

The man in charge was also adamant that public declarations from Bayern Munich’s camp, in particular Uli Hoeneß, have made little impact on his own feelings on the situation.

“That doesn’t bother me. Nobody has spoken to me from Munich,” he added. “There are a lot of people who know Harry better than me but he’s not going to be fazed by anything. He’s here and while he is, he’s totally committed to what we’re doing.

“If other clubs want to talk about our contracted players, that’s more of an issue for them than us. Between press conferences, I don’t talk about it and there’s certainly no focus on it.”

In addition, Postecoglou also confirmed that captain Hugo Lloris has made it clear in face-to-face talks that he would like to leave this summer to seek a new adventure.
