Tottenham Turn Down Bayern Munich £70M Offer For Harry Kane
- Tottenham Hotspur Will Turn Down Bayern’s Latest £70M Offer For Kane.
Tottenham will reportedly reject Bayern Munich’s new offer of £70 million plus add-ons for their star striker Harry Kane.
The 29-year-old has entered the final year of his contract at Spurs but hasn’t shown any indication he wants to extend his stay London.
Rather than losing him for free next year, chairman Daniel Levy can decide to cash in on him in this transfer window.
However, they turned down Bayern’s opening bid of £60m plus add-ons for the England international.
And as per the Daily Mail, they will also reject the Bavarians’ latest offer of £70m plus add-ons.
Levy is adamant he wants a £100m fee for letting his most important player leave this summer.
Manchester United were also very keen to sign Kane but have reportedly abandoned their plans because of the huge transfer fee involved.
Tottenham endured a disappointing 2022-23 campaign, finishing a lowly eighth in the Premier League table.
But Kane’s performances were outstanding last season, with the 29-year-old notching 32 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions.
The England ace has been their most consistent performer over the years, and it would be a huge blow for Spurs if they lose him this summer.
However, they will find it very hard to convince Kane to pen an extension given they haven’t qualified for any form of European football next term.
Selling the striker in this transfer window would be a smart move, but Levy wants to keep the player for another season, even at the risk of losing him for free in 2024.
