TWO WORDS £21M MANCHESTER CITY PLAYER USES TO DESCRIBE LIVERPOOL.

Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has praised Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and has described them as “incredibly strong” on Sport1.

Klopp’s Liverpool and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are competing for the Premier League title this season.

The Citizens are a point clear of second-placed Liverpool and will be confident of winning the league title for the second season in a row.

Gundogan told Sport1, as translated by SportWitness: “It is a very exciting and nerve-wracking race for us as well as for the fans. As Liverpool are incredibly strong and win every game, we are almost forced to stay focused and not allow ourselves to slip up.

“That keeps the tension high throughout. You play football for situations like that. It could well be that we have to win all the games until the end in order to become champions.

“We are a top team that is strong and versatile both individually and collectively. We have grown together again as a team, both athletically and personally, and approach every game with the highest level of concentration.

“If we continue to do that over the next few weeks, we’ll be able to take our lead to the finish line.”

In our opinion, the Premier League title race between Liverpool and Manchester City will go down to the wire.

The comments from the £21 million Gundogan (Sky Sports) show how much the City players rate Liverpool.

Now, of course, we know that the title is in City’s hands, as they have a one-point advantage, but they cannot get complacent.

Liverpool and Manchester City are two of the best and strongest teams in Europe, and there is no surprise that they are also in the semi-finals of the Champions League this season.

For neutrals, it would be great to see Liverpool and Manchester City battle it out for the Premier League title on the final day of the season.
