Video: Popular Ghanaian Actor Majid Michel Claims Christian Atsu Was Not Supposed to Die
Ghanaian actor, Majid Michel believes footballer, Christian Atsu died prematurely. The veteran actor, who doubles as a pastor, insists the player’s death was unnatural and does not believe in the doctrine of ‘God give and God takes’.
In an interview with Accra-based radio station Hitz FM, Michel explained his comments making reference to the biblical figure of
“I don’t believe in ‘you don’t know what will happen tomorrow’, ‘God gives and God takes’, that is a lie,” he said.
“It was Job that made us believe that statement, that God gives and God has taken. Job said that in anguish; it was Job’s words. Now we’ve made it a doctrine. It’s false: God doesn’t give and God does not take,” he added.
Michel claimed the belief that God had given and then taken Atsu was also a lie.
“Atsu was not supposed to die. He died prematurely. No, God did not take Atsu.”
Atsu was found dead 12 days after being trapped under rubble following the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
His body has since been transported to Ghana for his burial.
