Vinicius Junior’s New Shirt Number At Real Madrid
Vinícius Júnior is Real Madrid’s new No. 7. With Eden Hazard leaving the club after his disappointing spell, Vinícius will be the next player to wear the number previously worn by the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Raúl at the Bernabéu.
Fellow Brazilian forward Rodrygo is Madrid’s new No. 11, a number previously worn by players including Gento, Robben, Bale and Valdano.
Fran García, having just signed from Rayo Vallecano, will take the No. 20 shirt for the 2023-24 campaign.
The No.9 shirt is currently free after Karim Benzema’s recent departure. The striker that joins the club this summer will be handed Benzema’s previous shirt number.
The numbers 14, 21 and 24 are all currently free. There are two players who will have to choose between them: Brahim Díaz and Jude Bellingham.
The Englishman has traditionally worn 22, but that number is currently owned by Antonio Rüdiger.
