A return to Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho is not ruled out with the winger struggling at Manchester United since his €85m move in 2021.
It is reported that sporting director Sebastian Kehl is constantly in contact with Sancho’s agency. However, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens also has the same agency as Sancho, so the contact could be over the 18-year-old.
There have yet to be any direct communication between the two parties over a potential move in the summer and due to the 23-year-old’s value, Dortmund would only be able to afford a loan. Sancho is valued at €55m by Transfermarkt, while his contract at United is valid until 2026 with a further year option.
During his four-year stay in Germany, Sancho played 137 times scoring 50 and assisting 64. The winger was also able to win the DFB Pokal and the Super Cup.
Sancho wouldn’t be the first player to return to Dortmund. Nuri Sahin, Shinji Kagawa and Mario Götze all returned to Dortmund but struggled to reach the heights they previously did, while Mats Hummels has been the most successful returnee as he has established himself as a key piece in the dressing room.
