AC Milan Winger Insist Teammates Are Not Happy

  • Leao ‘Absolutely Not’ Happy With Dortmund Draw.

AC Milan winger Rafael Leao has insisted that he and his team-mates are not happy with the draw against Borussia Dortmund, and that they will be going to Paris Saint-Germain to win.

Milan had big chances in both halves to break the deadlock with Olivier Giroud and Samuel Chukwueze in particular squandering opportunities, which meant the Rossoneri were forced to settle for another 0-0.

Newcastle United’s 4-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain puts them top of the group with four points from two games, while the Parisians are second on three points, then come Milan on two and Dortmund on one.

Leao spoke to Prime Video immediately after the game to reflect on what was a night with some frustration from an attacking standpoint but with the group still wide open. MilanNews relayed his comments.

Are you happy with the draw?

“Absolutely not. Even against Newcastle we controlled the match, created chances, but didn’t score, and drew. Today we controlled and created many opportunities, in this atmosphere here… For what we did we should have come out with the three points.

“In the Champions League when you don’t score the others get there. We did a great job in this environment here. I’m happy for the team, but disappointed with the final result.”

What was missing?

“There was a lack of ruthlessness, we made a mistake there. We need to be more aggressive in front of goal.”

What will you need to show in Paris?

“We know it’s a group of very strong teams, but we will go to Paris to win. We respect our opponents, they have great players, but our objective is to get through.”
