Antonio Rudiger Says Current Chelsea Team Is ‘Nothing Like’ The One He Played In

All attentions now turn to Wednesday evening when Chelsea face Real Madrid in the quarter finals of the Champions League.

It’s a massive game for both teams of course, but for Chelsea, it’s literally all they are hanging on to that can provide them with any kind of hope of getting something out of what has been an absolutely horrific season in more ways than one.

Exclusive: Former Chelsea captain’s personal column!

Chelsea travel to Spain this week and they will be up against one of their former players in the shape of defender Antonio Rudiger.

This current Chelsea team could certainly use the leadership and motivation that Rudiger brings, with that being something they lack now. Rudiger has said that the current Chelsea team is nothing like the one he used to play in. But even still, he expects a rough game across the two legs.

The squad certainly has quality, but it lacks mentality and experience right now.
