Arsenal ‘Make Improve Offer’ For Chelsea’s Kai Havertz

Arsenal have made an improved second verbal offer of £60m for Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz.

That’s according to the Daily Mail’s Sami Mokbel, who reports on Tuesday that after seeing their initial £50m bid turned down, the Gunners have returned with a second bid worth £55m up front, with a further £5m in bonuses.

The north London club reportedly already have a broad agreement in place over Havertz’s personal terms, with the German international offered a long-term contract worth £210,000-per-week.

Chelsea are said to value the 24-year-old at £70-75m, and it remains to be seen whether they are willing to come down on that price.

Unfortunately, the forward has not really been prolific at Chelsea. But the 24-year-old has been deployed as a number nine on multiple occasions due to our lack of options and quality up front.

Arsenal look to be building something special under Arteta. The North London side were on top of the Premier League table for the majority of the 2022/23 campaign. However, they slipped up in the end.

Havertz was one of the biggest prospects at Leverkusen. Unfortunately, the German has been unable to make the most of his time at Chelsea. However, the 24-year-old has just entered his prime physical years. Therefore, the Blues have no obligation to drop their price.
