Bayern Munich Manager Monitoring Barcelona Forward, Player Not A ‘Target’ Yet

With their financial feasibility plan approved, Barcelona will begin their massive summer clearout soon enough. Players like Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, Eric Garcia, Franck Kessie, among others, are all on the transfer list, but that does not mean other players are ‘safe’.

With the need to raise money through player sales, Barcelona do not rule out selling players this summer that were initially deemed nontransferable.

One of those players could be Raphinha.

Signed in the summer of 2022 after an uphill battle against Chelsea and Leeds United, the Brazilian has had an impressive first season at the Camp Nou, as the second top scorer of the team, and the highest assist provider across all competitions.

His future is not locked in, though, as big clubs continue to monitor his situation at Barcelona. One of those teams is Bayern Munich, according to a report by Florian Plettenberg.

Thomas Tuchel is a fan of the player and is keeping tabs on him. He tried to convince Raphinha to join Chelsea last season, but the forward wanted a Barcelona move over all else and turned down advanced from the blues.

He is not an internal transfer target for Bayern, yet, but the future of the Bavarian squad is still up in the air, so anything could happen at this point.

Further, the German reporter also claims that Bayern does not rule out swap deals in the summer.

Xavi has previously publicly, claimed that, for him, Raphinha is untouchable, and that he is very happy with the 26-year-old this season.

“Raphinha is NOT on the market. He’s staying at Barcelona and he’s gonna help us a lot. He’s a crucial player for me, but really very important player. He makes the difference,” he said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
