Bayern Munich Reportedly Meet Tottenham Chairman Over Harry Kane Move

  • Bayern Munich Meet Tottenham Hotspur’s Daniel Levy Over Kane Transfer.

Bayern Munich have reportedly met with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy over a deal for Harry Kane.

This is according to German newspaper Bild who report the two sides held a secret meeting on Thursday in London.

It is said that the Bavarians haven’t made a breakthrough in negotiations but they are still optimistic of getting a deal over the line for the striker.

Bayern have already had two bids rejected for the 29-year-old, with the second offer reportedly around £70 million.

Tottenham have maintained the stance that Kane is not for sale, and only a prodigious £120m fee could convince them to let him leave this summer. This is despite the fact that the centre-forward’s contract at Spurs will expire in 2024.

If the North Londoners keep the England ace for another season, they face the risk of losing him to a Premier League rival next summer.

At the moment, they are trying very hard to convince the player to extend his stay at the club.

The Lilywhites are reportedly willing to offer him a new £400,000-a-week deal, thus making him the joint-highest paid player in the English top-flight.

But that strategy may not work given his aim is seemingly to win major trophies.

Spurs have appointed Ange Postecoglou to replace Antonio Conte as permanent manager. But it will likely take several years before the Australian boss establishes a side that will be competing for big trophies.
