Bruno Fernandes Makes Man United Travelling Squad To Face Tottenham

Bruno Fernandes came off injured in the FA Cup semi-final win over Brighton at Wembley on Sunday, although he has travelled with the Manchester United squad to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League tonight.

There were fears that the Manchester United playmaker could be missing for a period of time, with Ten Hag unwilling to give too much away at Wednesday’s press conference.

Earlier this week, Fernandes was pictured wearing a protective boot after the photo was shared on Intagram by his wife, Ana Pinho.

Ten Hag admitted in his press conference that there was a ‘question mark’ over Fernandes’ fitness ahead of the trip to Tottenham, but he did not state whether the injury was a serious one or not.

Ten Hag told reporters, as per the Daily Mail: “There are some unavailable — (Lisandro) Martinez, (Raphael) Varane. We have to see how Bruno Fernandes is, we don’t know yet.

“He is a question mark. But I think for the rest, we are quite OK.

“It’s more often that players, we protect them, prevention but it has to settle down.

“We have seen he played a full game and it happened in the first half. But tomorrow is quick, we have to see what is possible.”

Confirmed United travelling squad members vs Tottenham (via Manchester Evening News):

De Gea, Butland, Bishop; Wan-Bissaka, Dalot, Lindelof, Malacia; Fred, Casemiro, Eriksen, Fernandes; Antony, Elanga, Sancho, Rashford, Martial, Weghorst.
