Bundesliga Giants Are ‘Planning Long-Term’ With Harry Kane

  • Bayern Munich Respond After Daniel Levy Confirms Tottenham Buy-Back Clause..

Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund says the Bundesliga giants are “planning long-term” with Harry Kane.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy this week confirmed that Spurs inserted a buy-back clause in their more than £100million deal to sell the England captain last month.

It is thought that clause gives Tottenham the option to match any future bids for Kane, who has made a good start to life in Germany and scored in Wednesday’s 4-3 Champions League win against Manchester United.

, but said: “If one day Harry wanted to come back to the Premier League, and he wants to come to Tottenham, we would have the ability to purchase him.”

But Bayern chief Freund has dismissed the prospect of Kane leaving and said the German champions want the striker to “shape an era” at the club.

Freund told DAZN: “We won’t say anything about that [the buy-back clause]. We never reveal anything about contract details.

“Harry is here, has left England for the first time with conviction. We have a four-year contract with him. We are very, very happy and are planning long-term with him at Bayern.

“He will shape this team and an era here. I’m convinced of that. He feels very comfortable and has big goals with Bayern in the coming years.”
