Chiefs Still In A Race For Cape Town City Star

Cape Town City’s Mduduzi Mdantsane is starting to seem destined for Kaizer Chiefs. Here is the latest report.

Kaizer Chiefs have been linked with Mduduzi Mdantsane for around two seasons now. Is the move set to finally come through?

KAIZER CHIEFS TO SIGN MDUDUZI MDANTSANE?

Following what was a near miss for Amakhosi to sign the 28-year-old attacking midfielder in September, a new report says the Citizens are keen to sell Mdantsane with one year remaining on his contract.

The report added to reveal that Amakhosi decided against the deal in September when they found out Mdantsane had a year left with City.

The Cape club are now set to decide on either offering a new three-year deal or sell to Chiefs.

“Kaizer Chiefs are about to take a second bite at Cape Town City star, Mduduzi Mdantsane, a close ThisIsFootball.Africa source has revealed to Mr Scoops,” the publication said.

“Chiefs thought he would be on a free, only to learn that City had a year option on his contract and they would have to pay a transfer fee to get his signature,” the report added.

AMAKHOSI TARGET ANDILE JALI MISSES MAMELODI SUNDOWNS TRAINING

In other reports, Sundowns midfielder Andile Jali, who has been linked with Kaizer Chiefs, was not spotted at Chloorkop on Thursday.

Following last week’s dramatic reports on attending training under the influence of alcohol, the DStv Premiership champions might be moving on from the former Pirates midfielder.

While Jali’s disciplinary report included his teammate Sipho Mbule, the 24-year-old did return to the team last weekend, while Jali did not. Additionally, the Matatiele-born player is yet to renew his contract with Sundowns before it expires in June. Read the full story here.
