Erik ten Hag Blocks Youngster From Playing In U19s European Championships

Erik ten Hag and Manchester United have blocked Isak Hansen-Aaroen from participating in the U19s European Championships.

The 18-year-old would’ve represented Norway at the tournament, which kicks off on July 3 and runs until July 16.

However, according to Fredrik Filtvedt, he will now stay with United after Ten Hag told his national team that Aaroen would not be joining them this time around.

Instead, the youngster is set to be given a chance to play with the first team throughout the pre-season tour.

Aaroen to feature on pre-season tour

The Red Devils will tackle eight fixtures across the summer, starting in Aaroen’s home country when they take on Leeds United in Oslo, before facing Lyon in Edinburgh. United will then play out four fixtures in the United States and one in Dublin.

Filtvedt’s report adds that the Carrington starlet has impressed with his performances while training with the senior squad.

He is yet to make his official club debut but he did feature in a pre-season friendly again Ray Vallecano last summer.
