- Everton Forward Joins Coventry City On Permanent Move.
Everton have confirmed the departure of youngster Ellis Simms, who has joined Coventry City in a deal reportedly worth up to £8m.
The 22-year-old joins the Championship club after a six-year stint at Goodison Park.
In that stretch Simms spent loan spells with Blackpool, Heart of Midlothian and Sunderland before returning midway through the 2023 season to help the Premier League outfit fight off relegation.
“Today my journey at Everton football club has come to an end,” Simms said on social media.
“I would like to thank my team mates, the coaching staff, the fans and all the people who work for the club and have helped me along the way with my development. I wish the club the best of luck in the future.”
