Graham Potter Names Chelsea’s New Nominated Penalty Taker

Chelsea obviously lost there main penalty taker this summer when midfielder Jorginho joined local rivals Arsenal.

The Italian international had his hop, skip, and jump signature penalty that often proved successful and he scored many goals for Chelsea from the spot.

But the question on many fans minds since Jorginho left is who would be the penalty taker now he has gone?

Today, during his pre-match press conference for the big Champions League game against Dortmund tomorrow evening, manager Graham Potter has revealed who the clubs designated penalty taker now is.

It perhaps comes with little surprise to hear that it is Potter’s first choice striker, Kai Havertz, who is now the main penalty taker at the club and who will be stepping up when they next get awarded a penalty.

He may well have to step up as one of the five takers tomorrow night if the game goes through to a dreaded penalty shootout.
