Juventus Want To Start Negotiations Over Barcelona’s Franck Kessie

  • Juventus want to start negotiations over a loan-to-buy deal for Barcelona star.

Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie has become a hot prospect in the market lately. The Ivorian has become a subject of interest for multiple clubs across Europe, including Juventus.

The Italian giants revealed their interest in signing Kessie as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba earlier this month. But they were only keen on a loan deal, whereas Barcelona preferred a permanent sale.

The Catalans are facing an economic crisis right now and desperately need to bring in fresh funds. That is why they want Kessie to leave on a permanent deal, as it will help them not only reduce the salary mass but also bring in some amount of revenue.

To that end, Gianluca Di Marzio has offered an update on the future of Kessie, suggesting Juventus are ready to sign the Ivorian on a loan deal, with an option to buy clause included in his contract.

The report suggests Juventus and Barcelona will work together to find a resolution that will satisfy the two parties involved. The club have professed their desire to sign the midfielder on a loan deal with a right to redemption.

Barcelona have yet to make a decision on this proposal. They are currently evaluating the offer. But more importantly, Kessie himself has not given his green light to switch to Juventus.

In fact, the Ivorian is yet to even decide on whether or not he wants to leave Camp Nou this summer. Although the midfielder has been very understanding in regard to Barcelona’s economic situation, he is not fully on board with the idea of leaving so early.

Barcelona, for their part, are relying on Kessie’s potential sale to fund moves for their newer targets in the market, including Oriol Romeu and perhaps even Giovani Lo Celso, who has been identified as a potential alternative for the €80 million-rated Bernardo Silva.
