Luis Enrique Tours PSG Training Ground Before Signing As Coach

As reported by L’Équipe, prospective PSG coach Luis Enrique is edging closer to formalising his arrival in the French capital to succeed Christophe Galtier.

The 53-year-old former Spain, Barcelona, and Roma coach was granted a private visit to the club’s new state-of-the-art training facility in Poissy, a suburb west of Paris.

Although not formalized as the Ligue 1 champions’ new coach, with July 1st now expected to see an announcement on the switch in manager, Enrique took the chance to discuss with the club’s hierarchy and flesh out what his new job will look like.

The Spanish coach will need to make decisions over a number of his playing staff, not least on Neymar’s future.

Neymar has been expected to leave PSG this summer after fan protests outside his house earlier this season reportedly helped push him towards an exit, but the lack of transfer options and the arrival of an old friend in Enrique, with whom he won the 2015 Champions League title at Barcelona, could see his future change once more.
