MARC GUEHI IMPRESSED BY TOTTENHAM’S STRIKER HARRY KANE IN ENGLAND TRAINING.-‘EVERY TIME’.

Marc Guehi has stated that Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane, has been a standout in England training.

The Crystal Palace defender, who was called up by his country for the first time this week, shared that ‘every time’ Kane shoots in training, the ball ends up in the back of the net, as he told England’s official YouTube channel.

Whilst Guehi would have come up against Kane on the domestic stage, he now gets to see the Three Lions captain upfront and personal.

Added with a few training sessions, Guehi played alongside the 28-year-old during England’s 2-1 win over Switzerland in a friendly encounter at Wembley on Saturday.

When the ball-playing centre-back, who came through at Chelsea, was asked about the best player in training, he put Kane’s name forward.

“Everyone’s good,” said Guehi. “But, in particular, I would say Harry Kane. Even from training earlier, the ball is just going into the back of the net.

“It felt like every time he took a shot, it went in. But that’s the level he is at.”

Guehi is fast becoming one of the top defenders in the Premier League and a player thriving on the big stage.

The 21-year-old is playing for an ever-improving Crystal Palace side that has changed its style of play under Patrick Vieira and is preparing for an FA Cup semi-final clash against Chelsea.

The fact that Palace had Guehi, Conor Gallagher and Tyrick Mitchell called up to the latest England squad speaks volumes of their progress.

Gallagher has been part of Southgate’s set-up before and he will be hoping that he can earn that all-important World Cup ticket to Qatar in November.

Whereas Guehi has a fight on his hands, although, if he continues to produce the goods, then there is no reason why he shouldn’t be selected because it’s not like players are thriving in that centre-back spot.
