MATCH PREVIEW: ENGLAND AND GERMANY PURSUE THEIR FIST VICTORIES IN UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE
Both England and Germany will be looking for their first victories in the UEFA Nations League when they face each other at the Allianz Arena tonight
England will tonight look to return to winning ways when they travel to Munich to face Germany. England fell to a shock 1-0 defeat to Hungary at the Puskas Arena over the weekend and Gareth South gate will be desperate to get his side back on track in the UEFA Nations League.
Germany will also be chasing their first victory in the tournament after being pegged back by European champions Italy in Bologna. Hansi Flick’s men were dominant for long periods in the game but a resolute defence from a new-look Italian team kept them at bay.
Match Preview
The hosts have not progressed to the semi-finals of the Nations League since its inception. They have scored in every game under Flick and they are yet to lose a home game under the former Bayern Munich manager.
They will be seeking revenge against England who eliminated them from the Euros 2020. The silver lining is that they are yet to lose a single game since that defeat.
England similarly had not lost a single game since their Euro final loss to Italy prior to their defeat in Hungary. Sports Mole reports that The Three Lions had scored in 14 consecutive matches before Hungary nullified their attack led by the talismanic Harry Kane.
