Durant, who eventually relocated to Texas, went to Christian schools. The star player attended high school in National Christian Academy, Oak Hill Academy, and Montrose Christian Academy.

All of these organizations are focused on the teachings of Christianity, as is evident from their titles.

Ethnicity and Family

The NBA star’s nationality is American and his ethnicity is African American.

Wanda and Wayne Pratt welcomed Kevin, into the world on September 29, 1988 in Washington, D.C.

When Durant was a little child, Wayne abandoned the family. Wanda and Wayne eventually got divorced, and Durant was raised by his grandmother Barbara Davis.

When he was 13 years old, his father came back and began traveling with him to basketball tournaments all across the country.

Durant has two brothers, Rayvonne and Tony, and a sister, Brianna.

On the eastern suburbs of Washington, D.C., in Prince George’s County, Maryland, Kevin and his siblings spent their early years.

Early in his career, Durant received criticism for his thin physique, passing, and defense. But, he developed as a playmaker over time.

Durant improved his assist totals each year from 2010 to 2014, although his overall vision remained behind that of the league’s top passers. Additionally, he improved his defense when facing opposition.

Before joining the Golden State Warriors in 2016, he spent nine seasons with the team, the Oklahoma City Thunder. He won the NBA Finals MVP Award in 2017 and 2018, as well as back-to-back NBA championships.

After moving to Golden State, he improved as an off-ball defender and rim protector, and in 2018 he was a candidate for the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award.

Before joining the Brooklyn Nets in the summer of 2019, Durant led the Golden State Warriors to back-to-back NBA titles.

The Prince George’s County, Maryland, Amateur Athletic Union youth basketball squad known as the PG Jaguars is where Durant first found success. Durant coached the squad to two national titles.

In both the regular season and the playoffs, KD has constantly shown that he is a tyrannical player. He is still a favorite among the fans and is regarded as one of the league’s best players.

One of the greatest players of all time, Durant won NBA first of the Year honors in his first year and has received eleven All-NBA selections (2010-2014, 2016-2019, 2022).
