ORLANDO PIRATES AGREE TO PART WAYS WITH THULANI HLATSHWAYO AFTER TYSON REQUESTS RELEASE FROM BUCCANEERS

Orlando Pirates have announced their second player departure following Gabadinho Mhango joining AmaZulu.

Hlatshwayo joined the club from Bidvest Wits in 2020 and made 33 appearances for the Buccaneers in all competitions.

Despite this, the player requested a release from the club, which was granted. The club made an announcement today in which they officially announced the decision, Goal reported.

“A leader amongst men, Hlatshwayo has always sought to make a meaningful contribution wherever he plays, and this is what has ultimately influenced his decision to request the club to grant him his request to leave.”

“On behalf of the entire Pirates family, we would like to thank Hlatshwayo for his meaningful contribution and professionalism during his stay.”

Hlatshwayo also had touching words for the team, describing it as a dream to wear the black and white jersey of Orlando Pirates, SuperSport reported.
