PSG Centre-Back Marquinhos Extends Contract Until 2027

RMC Sport report that PSG centre-back and Brazil international Marquinhos (28) has put pen to paper over a three-year contract extension with Les Parisiens, keeping him at the club until 2027.

The outlet indicates that Marquinhos was seen last week sneaking out of the Camp des Loges, the club’s training ground, with a PSG jersey with “2027” written in the back – indicating that promotion photos for the reveal have already been down.

The league leaders are now waiting for the best time to officially announce the renewal of their skipper. It may happen once PSG seal their record 11th title. Should Marquinhos see out his new contract until its expiry, he will play for PSG until he is 33.

Marquinhos has been the team’s skipper since the departure of Thiago Silva in 2020 as a free agent to Chelsea.

The 76-time Brazil international has played 403 games with PSG, scoring 38 goals and registered nine assists.

He is currently the third-most capped player in PSG history, behind Jean-Marc Pilorget (435) and Marco Verratti (411). He signed for Les Parisiens in 2013 following a €31m deal with AS Roma.
