Sam Reinhart Parents Paul And Theresa Reinhart| Brother Griffin And Max

Sam Reinhart’s parents, Paul and Theresa Reinhart, are former hockey players.

Sam Reinhart is a 27 years old Canadian professional ice hockey player for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL).

He was selected second overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

The Sabers transferred the defenseman to the Florida Panthers on July 24, 2021, in exchange for Devon Levi and a 2022 first-round selection.

 He signed a three-year, $19.5 million contract with the Panthers on August 11.

Reinhart also played in the WHL after he was selected as the 15th overall pick by the Kootenay Ice in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.

The professional hockey player was also a member of the 2010-11 Ed Chynoweth Cup-winning team. In 2011-12, he received the Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy for being the league’s top rookie.

Sam Reinhart was born to Theresa and Paul Reinhart on November 6, 1995, in North Vancouver.

Paul Gerard Reinhart is a retired athlete from Canada and is now a stock market financier and promoter.

Reinhart was a defenseman in ice hockey who participated in the National Hockey League with teams including the Atlanta Flames, Calgary Flames, and Vancouver Canucks.

He used to wear the number 23 jersey during his professional career, and his son, Sam, also wore the same numbered jersey while playing for the Sabres.

Sam’s mother, Theresa Reinhart, was also born into a sporty family. She played badminton and volleyball but found a new interest in hockey when she met Paul.

Paul and Theresa met while the former hockey player was playing for Calgary Flames and tied the knot in 1986.

The couple is blessed with three children who are playing/played in the NHL. Although Theresa keeps herself away from the media, she has always supported Sam and his brothers.

Reinhart’s Brothers| Griffin And Max

Sam is the youngest child of Paul and Theresa. He has two older brothers named Maxwell and Griffin Reinhart.

The eldest Reinhart sibling, Max, was born on February 4, 1992. He is a retired professional ice hockey player who played in the NHL for the Calgary Flames.

The Calgary Flames drafted Max in the third round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

He played with the Flames till 2016 and joined the Kolner Hale of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga on June 6, 2016.

On July 1, 2017, he signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Ottawa Senators as a free agent.

Sam’s elder brother, Griffin, was born on January 24, 1994. He is also a retired professional ice hockey defenseman who last played for the Belfast Giants of the Elite Ice Hockey League.

Griffin was drafted as the 4th overall pick by the New York Islanders in the 2012 NHL Draft.

However, he started his professional career with the Islander AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, and made his NHL debut on October 10, 2014.

Besides the New York Islanders, Griffin played for Edmonton Oilers, Kunlun Red Star, Iserlohn Roosters, and Belfast Giants throughout his professional years.

The three Reinhart siblings have represented the Canadian national team at the World Junior Championships, becoming the only third pair of brothers to do so.
