Tottenham Eye Conor Gallagher With Pierre-Emile Højbjerg Likely To Depart

Tottenham remain keen on moving on from Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and are looking across London for his potential replacement.

A report in the Telegraph on Wednesday morning states that Spurs are keen on a move for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher this month.

Højbjerg is being courted by Atlético de Madrid as well as clubs in the Bundesliga and Ange Postecoglou’s side would be agreeable to letting him depart.Play Video

Although Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly a fan of Gallagher, the decision to sell could be taken out of his hands as part of a desire to bring funds in at Stamford Bridge.

The England international is viewed as a player who could cost as much as £50m if he were to depart this summer, with Aston Villa also linked with his services.

For Spurs, James Maddison has already been recruited for midfield, while Tanguy Ndombele returns following a successful loan spell in Italy, where he won the Scudetto with Napoli.Share this article
