Tottenham Readying £50 Million Offer For Man United Winger Jadon Sancho

Manchester United could be forced to look at player sales to fund incomings this summer as there is still no clarity over the club’s uncertain ownership situation.

There are a number of first-team regulars that could be sacrificed to raise funds, with Jadon Sancho among those with the highest value as Erik ten Hag continues to look for ways to strengthen his squad.

Sancho has endured a difficult two years since he made his big-money move from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 and now, it seems like both of his preferred positions are occupied by other players.

Marcus Rashford, who scored 30 goals in all competitions this season and was voted the club’s Player of the Year, is a mainstay on the left side and Antony starts on the opposite wing.

Sancho was also exiled for the best part of two months halfway through this season when Ten Hag deemed him not fit enough to take part.

After that break, Sancho returned with a skip in his step but he remains in the danger zone going into this summer’s transfer window.

Now, it is being reported that Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur could be getting ready to launch an audacious swoop for the London-born talent.

That’s according to the Daily Star, who say that Spurs are lining up a blockbuster £50m deal to sign Sancho from United as they look to rebuild the club under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

As per the report, Tottenham are one of the clubs interested in Sancho this summer, with Leicester’s James Maddison also among the players to be looked at.

Although it’s claimed that Tottenham are ready to go in with an offer of £50m, it’s claimed that United will demand as much as £60m before sitting down at the negotiating table.

In addition to Tottenham’s interest, it’s added that Borussia Dortmund have expressed interest in bringing the 23-year-old back on a season-long loan.
