Wolves have brought former Bournemouth boss Gary O’Neil in to take over from Julen Lopetegui.

The Spaniard departed on Tuesday night with the new Premier League season just days away due to disagreements with the club’s direction.

And they have moved quickly to replace him with O’Neil, as expected, being handed the job on a three-year deal.

He took over a struggling Bournemouth side last season from Scott Parker and led them to survival.

However, he was dismissed this summer in favour of bringing in Andoni Iraola.
