Ghanaians Applaud Jordan’s Impressive Performance Against Madagascar As Black Stars Record Resounding Win

Ghanaian football-loving fans took to social media to pour out praise for Jordan Ayew following his remarkable display for the Black Stars in Wednesday’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar.

Jordan, who is usually the No.1 target for public backlash, was singled out by most fans for undiluted praise owing to his brilliant performance for Otto Addo’s charges.

Despite not getting on the scoresheet, his overall output ensured he went into the good books of Ghanaian social media users.

The Crystal Palace attacker lasted full throttle as Ghana thumped island nation, Madagascar 3-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Goals from Ajax Amsterdam attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus, UEFA Europa Conference League winner Felix Afena-Gyan and substitute Osman Bukari gave Ghana a resounding win to begin their quest for AFCON qualification.

Up next for Jordan and his Black Stars teammates is a trip to the Central Africa Republic, who lost to Angola, on Sunday, June 5.

The 3-0 home victory puts Otto Addo’s charges at the apex of Group E with Angola, the Central Africa Republic and Madagascar following in that particular order.

Jordan Ayew brings an end to an unwanted record in the Premier League

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Jordan Ayew netted his first Premier League away goal for Crystal Palace FC at the Goodison Park since June 2020.
