Liverpool forward Sadio Mané has revealed that he will be leaving the club in the summer transfer window

Sadio Mané is currently in Senegal preparing for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin

Sadio Mané has confirmed he is on his way out of Liverpool after six years at the Merseyside outfit.

The 30-year-old Senegalese forward is expected to join German giants Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window, after the club showed interest in the winger.

In a pre-match press conference ahead of Senegal’s AFCON qualifier against Benin, the Liverpool star confirmed his desire to leave the club following demands by Senegalese fans for him move to a new team.

Sadio Mane confirms he will be leaving Liverpool ahead of international duty.

“60% or 70% of Senegalese want me to leave Liverpool. So I will do what the Senegalese want. The future will tell us,” Mané told reporters.

The former Southampton star could join Bayern Munich in the transfer window to end his six year stay with the Reds.

Mané has had a good campaign with Liverpool in the just ended campaign, winning the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.

Earlier in the year, he won the Africa Cup of Nations with the Teranga Lions of Senegal.

Liverpool identify Martin Terrier as replacement for Mane

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Liverpool are already in the market for Sadio Mane’s replacement after the Senegalese striker confirmed he will be leaving the Reds after six seasons at Anfield.

Mane has been an integral member of Liverpool after joining the Reds from Southampton in 2016 but decided to walk away from Liverpool with just one year left on his present deal.

According to a report via Sport Bible, Liverpool has now identified Rennes attacker, Martin Terrier as the perfect replacement for Sadio Mane.
