West Ham will target moves to sign Conor Gallagher and Kalvin Phillips this summer as the club look to replace Declan Rice.
The Hammers have placed the England midfielders on their shortlist of replacements for Rice, with the club captain expected to be sold this summer after turning down several proposals for a new contract at the London Stadium.
West Ham have a long-standing interest in both Gallagher and Phillips, who could be available this summer after struggling for regular first-team football at Chelsea and Manchester City respectively.
Gallagher shone on loan at Crystal Palace last season to be named as the Eagles’ Player of the Year, but has made just 11 league starts since returning to Chelsea.
Everton had an offer of around £45m turned down for the midfielder in January, while Newcastle and Palace have also been linked.
Phillips has also failed to command a regular role since signing for Manchester City from Leeds. The 27-year-old has featured for just 65 minutes in the Premier League this season due to fitness and favour issues.
According to the Evening Standard, West Ham failed with a £50m offer to sign Phillips last January and will renew their interest provided the club retain the Premier League status, with Phillips in need of more minutes as Euro 2024 approaches.
